Saturday was long awaited after a seriously hectic week. The sun was out and I was back in the country so me and the boyfriend jumped on the motorbike and headed across the coast to Rye. This beautiful, small, once fishing town is now filled with cobbled streets, antique shops and fabulous places to drink coffee and eat cakes. Apothecary is a gorgeous coffee shop filled with tiny rooms with a 'grandfathers study' kind of feel. The coffee if fresh, strong and delicious and the smell of toasted tea cakes fills the air. We lounged on battered leather sofas reading interior magazines and ordering refills until warm enough to venture out in to the February sunshine again. After a hunt about for interesting antiques to fill our recently renovated home and a walk along the harbour we headed home. Highly recommend the cosy cafe in this picturesque town - I hear they do great food too! Xx
