Monochrome London

One of my outfits from London Fashion Week when the sunshine actually decided to come out.  This simple chloe-esque silk top with polo neck style collar is a new wardrobe favorite for spring.  I haven't yet found anything that I can't throw it on with, and at only £35 from Topshop it is a definite must.  My leather jacket is my Dolce and Gabbana essential that I purchased last year and these Zara brocade trousers are worn so often that I may have to get another pair.  The weather is now back to freezing and snow showers, but I am hoping that the sun is back soon xx

take me to the beach...

Along with planning this years holidays comes planning this years Bikinis and this is never an easy challenge. I could easily spend £300 per bikini but my bank balance, and sanity, wont let me.  So to the high st it is.  Asos is always a great place to stock up on items like bikinis that stores are not holding many of at this time of year.  When away, I am not someone that sits on the edge of the pool of the sea, I like to get in and get my summer exercise.  This means my swimwear has to practical as well as pretty.  I love these three styles all at great prices.  Start stocking up now.

Fashion Week Essentials Part 1

For those days when you are exhausted and have lost the willpower to be able to put an outfit together, but still want to look effortlessly chic.  Follow in the fashion footsteps of one of my favourite bloggers Elin Kling and go for the simple, thrown together basics and hop into a pair of boyfriend jeans.  This soft faded pair are a snip at under £23 and will work with a simple tee and any pair of beloved heels.  Perfect.

One of my desert island products that I started using a few years ago when traveling a lot with work.  A few sprays of this relaxing pillow mist and I am guarantied a fantastic nights sleep, wherever I am.  After a long day of shows and events you need to catch up on as much sleep as possible before it all starts again.  Fabulous product that lives by the side of my bed... always.

Another brilliant product.  It is a bad time of year anyway for skin thanks to the cold weather, central heating and too many glasses of red wine in front of the fire.  This is my go-to staple for great skin.  The face wash is the lightest weight foam that feels spa like on the skin.  Just coat, leave a minute to tingle gently, then wash off.  If you need it any time you need it during fizz filled fashion week. xx

Check Mate

I fell in love with this Autumn Winter look from Elizabeth and James during New York fashion week and am already stocking up on checks to wear now.  Topshop have some perfect examples to get the look now including these fuzzy square print trousers and jacket in white on black or black on white.  If you are up for splashing a little more cash then check out Topshop Uniques SS13 range that has just landed online and in selected stores... I love these Unique Trousers for £135, and we already know they are going to take us through to Autumn.  Just add the chunky knit, brogues and giant clutch. xx

Markus Lupfer does London

Markus Lupfer is London style. He makes fashion that is more about texture and shape than having to do something crazy.  He mixes a grunge edge with a high fashion gloss and a 'thrown together' look.  I love these micro mini bodycon cutout dresses with pointy boy boots. What a great collection. Go London!

New York, New York.

Fashion week has landed in London and I am over excited and downing the Berocca and vitamin c tablets whist burning the candle at both ends.  Last week fashion itself was on the streets of New York getting an intake of Autumn Winter 2013 trends.  One of my favourite fashion houses showing in New York is Proenza Schouler, and this season was no exception.  Classic met edge, pastels met monochrome and leather met feathers.  The looks were softly tailored and slightly sports inspired, a trend that seems to be continuing.  The looks are perfectly wearable and overly stylish.  I have already put the cut out heels on my Autumn must have list and will be clutching a clutch bag for months to come.  Love xx

Green Giant

Fashion Week isn't Fashion Week without a coloured clutch bag or two.  These beauty boxes have just landed at Zara, and I for one am picking at least one up when passing.  The perfect balance of neon, green, gems and lace the High St giant gets it spot on again.  White dress, black blazer and one of these should tide me over nicely.  xx

Fresh

I have been a fan of the White Company for as long as I can remember.  I have been decorating all three floors of my house slowly since we finished restoring it last year.  Although this fresh scented Wild mint candle will not fill that gap in the top bedroom I have been debating about, it will fill the house with the most beautiful fragrance all spring.  I highly recommend this, along with the Mint hand wash too!  Enjoy xx

STOLEN!

Well it is Fashion week and I am busy outfit planning.  My normal dislike of colour has faded over the past year and I now get constant colour crushes.  This month it is yellow and green that are finding their way into my wardrobe.  These pictures are stolen and have been collecting on my desktop for a while so I thought I would put them in one place for a little inspirations.  Some great outfits that definitely show that fashion should be fun! xx

Fashion in Florence

Every January I head over to one of my favourite cities, Florence, for Pitti Uomo fashion show.  The past few years I have been very lucky and managed to capture a bit of sunshine whilst there.  Florence fills with the most beautiful people and wonderful brands and fashion literally fills the air.  This year I stayed in a lovely little hotel, Croce di Malta, right in the heart of the city.  The location is great, being only a five minute walk from the train station and ten minute walk to the Pitti show.  The rooms are classic, with stone walls and light flooding through the shutters.  It has an outdoor pool and although it does serve a great Italian breakfast, it is only minutes from the river, which is banked with stunning cafes.  I have never had a bad coffee in Italy and cannot get over how groomed everyone is, not like our London look.  Another lovely four days in this beautiful city.  I highly recommend a visit to everyone. xx

London's Frozen

It's like the whole city has turned to ice.  We have had far too much cold weather and snow for my liking this winter.  Trying to keep warn in my River Island studded ear muffs, New Look Premium Coat and Zara wool dress.  xx

Coffee, Cake and the Coast

This morning it felt almost spring like.  The snowdrops were out, the sun was trying to shine and we jumped on the motorbike and headed down the road to the coast.  It was definitely colder than it looked and after a good ride we dived into Patisserie Valerie for oversized coffees and cakes. I recon I could eat everything in that place, so delicious. I can't wait for better weather to be able to enjoy living ten minutes from the sea again. xx

From country to city

Last week I picked up a new nails inc. treat in the form of Feathers in York.  This clear polish has tiny strips of coral and white in it, which when layered up looks like your nails are coated in feathers.  Three coats gives a good covering on its own or layer over white or pink polish.  I am loving nails inc.'s recent textures from concrete to leather, and this is no exception.  The £11 fun addition to your spring wardrobe.  Cant wait for nails inc. to do badger fur and sheep wool.  Enjoy xx

Hello Sunshine

Last week River Island put on a lovely High Summer Press Event with Cocktails filled with Cherry Pearls, Ibiza Club music, dancing and hot hot hot bikinis and beachwear.  It was great to get in the summer mood even though it was actually snowing outside on the streets of London. I loved the wedge heel gladiator sandals and the purple sheer beach dress.  I may have to pick this up to wear over a slip dress in the city.

My current RI crush list are their white wedge heels at £55 and their boxy floral print blouse £30.  Perfect for pretending that summer is coming.
