A hard day at work?  A long week ahead?  What's better than browsing Feel Unique for a little treat? - Glass of wine optional.  It doesn't matter what your budget is, feelunique.com is the luxury beauty store that caters for your needs and wants.  Last weekend I got swept up in the new products, colours and reviews online and placed an order (free delivery too).  Within two days I woke up to a lovely package with my YSL glossy stain in Plum (perfect autumn shade) and Benefits Big Beautiful eyes pallet.  The gloss is stunning and will be my autumn essential worn with simple make-up, black tee and black leather trousers for that city-goth look.  If you haven't tried plum lipstick give it a go!  The Benefit pallet is so adorable with its vintage style packaging and little mirror.  The best thing is it comes with really simple instructions of where to put each colour.  Super easy to put on for smokey day or night eyes.  Hugely recommend this.

What is summer without a few pastels?  Here I am in the garden under the Butterfly Bush enjoying the sunshine.  The stunning bright lilac trousers are H&M Trend and are now in the sale in stores for only £15.  I love the zip detailing and oversized waist.   My Office shoes are the perfect wear-with-everything court and they are doing a similar one for autumn.   Got to love british summertime.

Pucker up

What better way to wake up than with the postman delivering surprise make-up?  Miners is a brand that slightly disappeared off the radar for a few years, but now is back in a big way.  They launched some gorgeous products for spring/summer and it looks like autumn is going to be even better.  I am in love with these vintage Tin o 'Tint lip tins which not only look super cute in my handbag but are also great on.  They are a moisturising lip tint 'n' care, so lip-balm consistency but with a strong colour - they look like a sheer lipstick on so none of that wishy-washy-no-colour-balm.  The best thing?  They smell AMAZING!  They are chocolate (cocoa bean), pink grapefruit and mango scented.  I am carrying the pink grapefruit pastel pink one everywhere from now on.  Check out minerscosmetics.co.uk for new products and to stock up and wake up to these too.

Autumn can forget filling my wardrobe for a few hot weeks.  I shall be getting my hands on these Anna shoes from Kurt Geiger's Sale.  They come in yellow, pink, pastel blue, orange, red, silver, nude ... that I know of, and are in the sale from £120 to £59!

Welcome to Summer

Good morning England, and welcome to Summer.  After months and months of rain it is finally here, with highs of 30 degrees.  Forget the new Autumn collections hitting stores this week and embrace the trends that you loved for Spring/summer and never got to wear.  Stock up on those Versace style stud dresses, the tribal print heels and the 90s shift dresses.  The best thing?  Many of them are now lining the sale rails for us.

Not what you expected hey?

Last week I visited the New T K Maxx store that opened in the small seaside town of Worthing near Brighton.  T K Maxx has been doing some serious advertising recently - from the Fashion Designer TV ads to the Blogger's choice magazine spreads.  I occasionally pop into the store near London Bridge and am always amazed by the hidden gems waiting to be found.  The company buy up last season and current season products, with a quick turn over so there are always new items in.  This store was small by tidy, with lovely staff willing to help with my every need.  I spent over an hour excitedly rummaging through the product deciding what to stock up on.

The one thing that really shocked me were the price points.  The black shoes above with sculls on were down to around £20.  The nude court shoes (that I left with) were down from £49 to £14.  Wow!

There were rails of great knits for around £16 each.  How can anyone say no?  The pink aztec design was so soft and great to wear to the summers festivals and through into Autumn.

I left with the nude shoes, some gorgeous tortoiseshell sunglasses (£180 to £30 - yes really) and a tons of gorgeous body butters (£21 to £3.99).  A great trip and a great store.  Thanks T K Maxx, I will visit again!

Oh Dorothy

Isn't this dress just puurrrrfect?  Navy blue, Lace, Peplum, all very Mad Men!  I have to say I have never been a Dorothy Perkins shopper but I think that is all about to change.  This stunning dress needs to be worn with stockings and black heels for full impact.  Best thing?  IT'S IN THE SALE!  Was £40 now only £22 - amazing DPs.  Shop Ink lace peplum dress.

Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

A few weeks ago Esprit launched their brand new flagship store on London's Regent St and I was lucky enough to join them in celebrating.  Esprit has been in the media more and more recently, mainly thanks to their chosen model, Gisele Bundchen.  Their simple, luxurious clothing at High St prices, and community values (they donated 1 million HK to charities last year) have set them apart from other stores on the Hight St.  

The layout was clean, crisp and spacious.  The mannequins were simply dressed in beautiful clothing.  After a few drinks and canopies by Angel Adoree (Yum) we browsed the collection of nude sequins and white linen.  My favorite pieces are the slub jersey tee for £29 and the stretch jersey jumpsuit £69 - both perfect for looking chic but being super comfortable!  

Natasha Bedingfield finished the evening off with a fabulous performance.  I left with a copy of Angel Adorees cookbook 'The Vintage Tea Party Book', which I am planning to cook and eat everything in.  I shall definitely be visiting Esprit again and have my eye on a few more pieces too.  Check out their website at http://www.esprit.co.uk/en-GB/ and their new London store to stock up.

Beach Blanket Babylon

A few weeks ago I visited Beach Blanket Babylon in Shoreditch to try out not just their cocktails ... but their food.  The small modern restaurant serves a great menu so that you can now dine before taking to the bar.  BBB can seat 20 for dinner in the relaxed fun environment.  There are views over the cocktail bar so you can spot the best looking drinks before heading there yourself.

We ate from the A La Carte menu where I had Roast shrimp with spiced avocado & grilled lime (£7.60) which was delicious. To follow this I had the Monkfish risotto (£16.90) with a side salad (£4) and the Vanilla Pannacotta with berries (£6.90) - all were great!

After dining we just had to taste a few of the exquisite cocktails at the bar.  The evening was great, with good company and event better food.  I would recommend BBB for a perfect girls catch up - what more could you ask for than cocktails and desserts?

So today I received this perfect summer dress from Ax Paris.  In soft stretch jersey with pleats and a wrap over style the dress is great for looking great on hot days.  I shall be wearing mine with black strap sandals now and chunky ankle boots and tights in the Autumn.  Ax Paris is a great site for dresses at even better prices.  This Wrapover dress is now in the sale for only £17.99.
