Home Sweet Home

From Saturday I have 9 days off along with most of the country. Thanks to the 4 day weekend you only have to squeeze in 3 days holiday and boom! Most people will be drinking pimms and flying their union jacks, but I have a mission - I’m determined to get my house/restoration project finished - or as close as possible. For the past 6 months along side my more than full time job as Head of VM in London for a fashion brand and checking out events and brands for my Blog, I have been restoring this victorian 3 storey house in a village in East Sussex! I can’t remember what it feels like to be bored, and I’m longing for my weekends back! Fingers crossed me and the BF (and anyone else we can bribe with a BBQ) will get it done! I will give you some pics soon x

Sports Day

Today I’m making the most of this warm weather as it’s forecast to get a little wet and cold over the next few days.  You will have to excuse the bad IPhone photos taken at 5am (yes thats the time I have to get up, commuting has its down sides).  The cream silk gilet is a customized Joseph blazer that I thought I would hand wash when it said ‘Dry Clean Only’ and the arms shrunk hugely! Rather liking this though.  I have a Nelly.com leather look one on the way so will post this once it arrives.  Check it out here for a preview.  Im wearing a very old but still loved pastel pink jersey dress from Topshop.  My wedge heeled trainers are the H&M ones that sold out instantly but there are some great ones on the High St atm.  Check out these TOPSHOP and ASOS ones.  My necklace and spike ring are Forever 21 - their jewelry is so fabulous.  My pastel wrap bracelet is Aldo and in wearing my Michael Kors watch.  All finished off with a fishtail braid.

The sun has come out and now its all about weekends of fields, cold cider, live music and festival dressing.  The one great joy when having to go to the supermarket is that their own fashion sections are getting so so good.  George at Asda is one of the best!  After browsing online I am stopping by to pick up some pimms, strawberries and a few of these fashion delights!  Love the Black Zip Jumpsuit - Only £18, and will wear with the floral rucksack (£12) vintage cowboy boots, denim jacket and fishtail braid.  The vintage style union jack maxi will be worn for the Jubilee weekend, rocked up with black Acne Pistol boots and a leather vest.  What great pieces!  Thanks George xx

Party, party, dinner, party.

So you’ve heard of Maddox, super chic club just off of Regent St in the centre of London.  It just got better.  The ‘thing’ at the moment is to be able to have dinner with friends in the club that your planning on spending the night in.  Maddox have launched an exclusive restaurant on the mezzanine level above the club, with a few tables and small menu.  I was lucky enough to go and spend an evening there a few weeks ago, and I shall be returning.

The atmosphere is fantastic, with gorgeous model-DJs playing whist you tuck into your just as beautiful food.  The menu is a set 3 courses (with a few choices for each), all for around £40 I believe.  I had a crab salad, roasted cod with vine tomatoes and a chocolate mouse - all delicious - whist drinking cocktails and champagne and dancing in my chair to the great music!  Other diners were dancing on tables wearing celebrity masks (provided on tables).  All very surreal, and made for a fabulous evening.  Where to go then?  Down a few stairs to take full advantage of the drinks menu and Diamond encrusted DJ (well here headphones anyway).  Great evening - comes highly recommended.  Visit http://www.maddoxclub.com/contact/

A few weeks ago I made a quick visit to ‘We are Handsome’s’ showroom to view their new collection. Known for their amazing printed swimwear, it was not surprising to find out that the brand is a collaboration between fashion designer and graphic designer. Their new additions of maxi dresses in incredible prints in the same fabrics and printed leggings are a natural progression of the brand. I am in love with the Vegas print purple dress styled with chunky black ankle books and a leather jacket for ultimate festival dressing.

A few weeks ago I went to look at Barbara Boner’s new collection of stunning bags.  She uses a range of amazing leathers and skins including sting ray and intestines.  Her signature is her long leather and chain tassels that are on everything.  I fell for her spiked chain straps and black intestine clutch!  You have to check out her designs!
